HEY…….  Meet ole Kathy, LOL, my new toy and my new baby. After this purchase, I know that I will  definitely step up my game and skills in reference to sewing.  I’m overly excited about the push-button features, LCD screen and knee lift. There is so much more for me to explore with ole Katy, that I will provide further updates about my experience with her, both the pors and cons. But per some of the reviews and features I’ve read online, she offers some of the following features below and these are so far my top 5 favorite functions.  Stay tuned…………………

  • Advanced Needle Threader-
  • Quick-Set Bobbin Winder
  • 190 Stitches & Programmable Stitch Functions
  • Quick-Set, Drop-In Bobbin

DIY Faux Vest

Hello. This was such an easy and fun project. Can we say simple! This was a self-drafted DIY using an old vest that I already had hanging up in my closet. So basically using some paper I traced around my old vest to create the pattern piece, placed the pattern piece on top of my fabric, cut it out and sewed that baby up. As for the lining, I repeated the same steps and then I attached it to my vest with right sides together, sew the lining and outer vest at the seams with the exception of leaving a small opening for turning. Once you’ve sewn both pieces together, you will need to turn it  right sides out and lastly for that small opening that was left open, you can hand sew that together.  Very simple, right? I hope Iprovided some easy instructions.

Be blessed. I hope you all like this look and enjoyed this post.
